BACKGROUND This construction project is an important upgrade to the civic space that has historically been and remains to this day the civic center of the City of San Antonio (COSA). The Project consists of a complete renovation of Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio to create a safe and accessible civic space by fixing accessibility barriers, leveling uneven surfaces and updating infrastructure to support long-term operations, special plaza programming and daily public use.
Many adjacent stakeholders, from businesses and cultural resources to cultural, spiritual, educational and governmental institutions have long been and continue to be, significant contributors to the success of Main Plaza in their proximity and in their daily function. As the chosen respondent, your effort in completing this project and your contribution to making the final product a success will be no less significant to those stakeholders, the citizens of San Antonio, the millions of patrons that visit this city every year, and to the Plaza itself for years and years to come.
