It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of San Antonio (the obligee). If you leave a cut unrestored or damage the right-of-way on any covered job, the city can recover its restoration cost against the bond, up to $100,000.
The bond must stay active for as long as you hold the blanket permit. Let it lapse and the city can suspend the blanket permit, stopping all your covered work — so we track it and notify you ahead of expiration.
