The lines we place, and how.
Where a line can be quoted on our platform, one application goes to every insurer there that writes your kind of work. For the rest, our brokerage shops the market for you. Either way, you compare the quotes side by side.

How we get you covered.
Tell us what you insure
Contractors: your trade, payroll, revenue and loss history. Owners: the buildings, the policies you carry and when they renew.
We send it to the right insurers
A Light RFP broker reads it and contacts you. Where a line can be quoted on our platform, it goes to the insurers there that write your kind of risk; for the rest, our brokerage goes to market.
Compare the quotes
Limits, deductibles and exclusions side by side, matched to what your contracts, lenders and RFPs require. Applying commits you to nothing.
We put it in force and issue certificates
Our brokerage binds the policy you choose, which puts it in force, and issues the certificates your contracts, lenders and RFPs ask for, naming additional insureds (someone added to your policy, like the owner) where they’re required.
How we’re paid: posting RFPs and bidding on them are free. Light RFP earns a commission from the carrier on all policies.
Insure the crew, the job and the building.
For bids, certificates and the crew. Plan on 10 to 20 minutes for general liability, workers’ comp and auto, with your current policies to hand.
For renewals, the portfolio and projects. Plan on 15 to 45 minutes for one property to five, with your declarations pages to hand.
