The Physician and/or Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant shall provide on-site medical services for all students on Center, including examinations and assessments, treatment, issuance of prescriptions and immunizations, monitoring health conditions, recommending hospitalization, follow-up care, and prevention planning and intervention. Tasks include conducting initial physical examinations and developing medical treatment plans, recording documentation on the Student Health Record, treating minor and acute conditions, providing first aid and CPR, managing chronic care plans, prescribing controlled and non-controlled medications, collaborating with the Substance Abuse Counselor and Center Medical Counselor, participating in Disability Accommodation Committee meetings, establishing a medical referral system, maintaining HIPAA confidentiality, and reporting monthly to the Center Director and HWD on health-related matters. Services are required on center weekly, typically one or two days a week, M-F, 8am – 5pm, totaling 400 hours per year.
