Solicitation for AK Helo On Call

The contractor must provide fully operated and maintained on-call helicopter flight services to transport personnel and/or cargo in support of Government natural resource missions in Alaska. Missions include interagency fire management (fire suppression, fire monitoring, initial attack, prescribed fire, aerial ignition, rehabilitation seeding), search and rescue, aerial capture eradication and tagging of animals, overwater/platform/vessel landings, law enforcement surveillance, and other administrative activities. The contractor must provide a helicopter, personnel, and all associated equipment as prescribed. Aircraft are subject to exclusive Government use during availability periods. Services are limited to operators authorized in Alaska with an Alaska base of operations, though aircraft may be ordered for flight services in the Lower 48 States for emergency interagency fire use.
