TABC requires a $30,000 fee interest bond on brewer and manufacturer applications, including the Brewer's Permit (B), where the applicant does not own a fee interest in a brewery facility, the arrangement used for contract brewing and alternating proprietorships. Ours is $325 flat.

Your TABC license is waiting on this bond. Here's the entire process — no broker phone tag:
Business details, owner information, effective date. That is the application — the only extra step is a one-time consent to a soft credit pull.
Most are approved as soon as you apply. One soft credit pull, never a hard inquiry, and it never affects your score. If it needs a second look, one to two business days at most.
Pay online and receive the executed $30,000 bond ready to file with your TABC license or permit. Wet-ink originals mailed whenever the Commission insists.
TABC conditions brewer and manufacturer applications — including the brewer's permit (B) — on a $30,000 fee interest bond where the applicant does not own a fee interest (ownership) in a brewery facility, the arrangement used for contract brewing and alternating proprietorships. The bond stands behind the permittee's conformance with the Alcoholic Beverage Code and Commission rules.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the State of Texas through the Commission (the obligee). The bond's condition is that you conform with the Alcoholic Beverage Code and the Commission's rules; if the permit or license is revoked, the amount of the bond is paid to the state.
It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. The $30,000 amount is the same across the brewer's permit (B), manufacturer's license (BA), and non-resident manufacturer's license (BS).
A claim comes from the party the bond protects, the obligee named on the form, when the duty the bond guarantees is not met.
The surety investigates and pays a valid claim, up to the $30,000 bond amount. You then repay the surety: a surety bond is a guarantee of your performance, not insurance for you.
The premium covers a one-year term from the effective date you choose; a longer term is the same price per year, chosen at checkout.
Renew before the expiry date to keep the bond in force: the license, permit or contract it backs expects continuous coverage.
