Florida requires every professional solicitor to file a $50,000 bond with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services when registering to raise funds for charity — Fla. Stat. § 496.410. Ours is $750 flat, set by our carrier's rate book for this bond. The bond issues the moment you pay — no credit review of any kind, not even a soft pull.

License bonds are the simplest thing in surety. Here's the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That's the application — no financials, no credit section, no follow-up scavenger hunt.
License bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase.
Your executed bond and power of attorney arrive by email, ready to file with your FDACS professional solicitor registration. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
A professional solicitor is someone paid to raise charitable contributions on a charity's behalf. Florida wants a $50,000 financial backstop standing behind that work — the bond is payable to the state and to anyone harmed by a violation of Florida's charitable solicitation law.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the State of Florida together with harmed donors and charities (the protected parties). If a solicitor violates §§496.401–496.424 — the Solicitation of Funds Act — a harmed party can recover against the bond, up to an all-time aggregate of $50,000.
The bond must stay in effect as long as your registration is. Let it lapse and your registration is no longer in good standing — so we track it and notify you 60 and 30 days out, keeping your $50,000 filing continuous.
These are the actual issuing fields — no credit section, because this bond doesn't have one.
