It's a three-party arrangement: you (the franchisee, the principal), the surety carrier, and the party the bond protects — members and, depending on the filing, Anytime Fitness Franchising, LLC as the named obligee. If a covered claim arises — a member denied a refund the contract owes them, for example — the harmed party can recover against the bond.
It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. Arkansas's own Health Spa Consumer Protection Act (Ark.
