The project focuses on repair, stabilization and preservation of the cemetery's historic landscape and contributing features including cleaning, straightening, raising, realigning and replacing grave markers, minor conservation and cleaning of monuments and historic features, rehabilitation of gates, iron fencing and perimeter brick walls including repointing and structural repairs, grading improvements and restoration of a functional stormwater management system, restoration of historic plantings, tree canopy, turf and cultural landscape features, rehabilitation of walkways including the entrance walkway and paths at the Superintendent's Lodge, and improvements to visitor access including seating, interpretive elements, circulation and parking, with all work within park boundaries to National Park Service historic preservation standards.
