The contractor must furnish personnel, equipment, and software to provide medical physicist testing and reporting services for X-Ray, fluoroscopic, CT, MRI, PET, SPECT/CT, D-SPECT, dental, and DEXA imaging equipment at the SFVAHCS (4150 Clement Street, San Francisco) and the Santa Rosa, Eureka, and Oakland outpatient clinics. Duties include annual (and for some modalities semi-annual or quarterly) equipment inspections, acceptance testing of new or relocated equipment, post-repair inspections within 48 hours, CT protocol reviews, shielding design calculations and surveys, lead garment/PPE inspections, quality assurance program reviews, and written reports to the Radiation Safety Officer within five working days of each inspection. Contractor employees must report in person within 24 hours of notice for emergency services and must meet board certification or equivalent qualification standards as a Medical Physicist.
