Stabilize Kingsley Plantation Shoreline with Seawall Extension
The work consists of selective demolition, installation of a new weatherable rigid vinyl sheet pile wall with tie rods and a weatherable rigid vinyl deadman wall in front of the existing PVC sheet pile wall, installation of a new structural FRP composite sheet pile wall for an eastward extension, and associated civil works including excavation, soil and gravel backfilling, sodding, spartina sea grass restoration, and installation of limestone riprap in front of the wall. The project is divided into three sequential phases: Phase 1 (west end of existing wall), Phase 2 (east end of existing wall), and Phase 3 (east extension with FRP composite sheet pile). The project location is the Timucuan Ecological and Historical Preserve, 11676 Palmetto Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32226.
