Bird Survey

Texas Military Department (TMD) is seeking costproposals to conduct bird surveys using pre-established transects at trainingcenters in four (4) locations. A Spring count and a Winter count are to beconducted to provide data for a long term monitoring program. The objective of the project is toprovide data to be used in a long-term monitoring program on bird populationson TMD training centers. The benefits of this survey will be to determinelocations and the distribution of species of concern and to monitor potentialimpacts of training or habitat management across the sites. The project willprovide data to TMD that will be loaded into our current database and the FederalAvian Knowledge Network (AKN).
