The property is located on River Road south of the Rock Lake hatchery in Santa Rosa, New Mexico.
This project involves: Using herbicide to control the invasives trees that have sprouted since the previous treatment. Hand pulling small new seedlings may be done in place of herbicide treatment if the roots can be fully extracted. The entire 160-acre project area must be inspected and treated. Approximately 80-acres have invasive trees at notable levels.
Site Visit: The Site Visit will take place on September 1, 2026 at 10:00am MT. Contractors are strongly urged to attend the site visit.
Location: Rock Lake via River Road, Santa Rosa, NM. This is just to the east of the Rock Lake Fish Hatchery which is located at: 1025 Hatchery Loop, Santa Rosa, NM 88435

This is a request for quote (RFQ) solicited using the simplified acquisitionprocedures of FAR Part 13.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision required to construct the project at outlined in statement of work and detailed in the specifications, drawings, and plans attached hereto.
The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small businesses. The applicable NAICS code is 115310.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision required to control invasive Russian olive and salt cedar on approximately 160 acres. Work includes herbicide application (cut-stump, frill cut, basal bark, foliar spray) and hand pulling of small seedlings. The entire project area must be inspected and treated; about 80 acres have notable invasive levels. Cut material must be chipped or hauled off the easement. Work must be completed from late-September 2026 through April 2027. The contractor must provide copies of herbicide application records. Conservation measures to protect threatened plant species (Pecos sunflower, Wright's marsh thistle, Great Plains ladies'-tresses) must be followed, including restrictions on work within 100 feet of protected plants from April 1 to late September.
