The City of Lubbock is soliciting proposals for Police Department Promotional Assessment Center Services.Through this RFP, the City seeks a qualified independent consultant capable of providing a consistent, secure, objective, job-related, valid, reliable, and professionally defensible Assessment Center process that complements the City’s Police promotional examination process and provides qualified candidates a fair opportunity to demonstrate their readiness for promotion.
The selected consultant shall provide all professional services necessary to conduct the Assessment Center process, including meeting with City and Police Department representatives, reviewing job descriptions and organizational information, conducting job analysis, developing Assessment Center exercises, establishing standardized candidate instructions and scoring criteria, recruiting and training assessors, administering and monitoring all Assessment Center components, scoring candidate performance, providing individual candidate scores and final results to the City within ten business days, and maintaining confidentiality and security of all materials. Services may be required for classifications including Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, Police Captain, Assistant Police Chief, and other applicable Police Department promotional classifications.
