GROUNDS MAINTENANCE FOR FIRE RESCUE LOCATIONS, TERM CONTRACT

The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, mowing, trimming, edging and weeding of all landscaped areas, including turf areas, flower beds, shrub beds, and ground cover beds, pest control/herbicide treatment, fertilization, mulching, blowing sidewalks, and roads as needed, and the removal of all litter and landscape debris, such as fallen palm fronds while on site. The successful bidder shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, fuel, services, and all other necessary incidentals required to fully maintain the general condition of County property to a superior level using the highest and best maintenance practices in the industry. The contract is divided into four lots: Lot #1 North County (31.80 acres), Lot #2 Central County (28.86 acres), Lot #3 South County (47.28 acres), and Lot #4 West County (7.29 acres). Service intervals require 39 cuts per 12-month period: 26 cuts every 7 days from May 1 to October 31, and 13 cuts every 14 days from November 1 to April 30. Fertilization is required two times per year for lawns, hedges, shrubs, palms, pines, shade trees, flowering shrubs, and palms. Additional landscaping tasks, emergency services, and hurricane/storm cleanup are also included on an as-needed basis.
