This RFQ is to obtain quotes from qualified contractors with a minimum of 3 years of experience of providing emergency board-up services following a fire or emergency incident. TVF&R will award up to 6 contracts.

Contractors must provide residential and commercial board-up capabilities and property conservation services. Work includes compliance with applicable codes and standards, damage assessment if needed, provision of physical security measures such as fencing, on-site capability to secure roofs, doors, and windows for single-family dwellings, and site security if needed. Contractors must respond within 90 minutes of dispatch notification, available 24 hours per day 365 days per year. Upon arrival, contractors must contact the TVF&R Incident Commander within 15 minutes of receiving dispatch and complete a Board-Up Call-Out Ticket prior to starting work. Contractors must maintain an emergency contact number with a guaranteed answering point and respond with equipment and materials needed to secure at a minimum a single-family dwelling. Billing is directed to the property's insurance carrier; if property is uninsured, contractor still responds but charges industry standard rates.
