Provide seismic cone penetration testing with pore water pressure measurement (SCPTu) as part of a geotechnical investigation at a site known to be underlain by diatomaceous soils. This is a joint research project with ODOT/OSU/PSU.
Pre-Bid Conference: Not Applicable
Advance at least three and up to six seismic cone penetration soundings with pore pressure measurement to about 250 feet at Wikiup Junction, including downhole shear-wave velocity measurements, pore pressure dissipation tests, and variable-rate tests in diatomaceous soils. Furnish all rigs, a 10-cm2 u2-type probe capable of 500 psi pore-pressure measurement, seismic source, water, personnel and reporting, abandon holes per Oregon Water Resources Department rules, dispose of cuttings and fluids, protect pavement and property, maintain 50-foot clearance from railroad tracks, and deliver full text and graphical reports with electronic data within 14 days of the last sounding for final completion by November 17, 2027.

Most Oregon work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
