ATTENTION BIDDERS: THE POWER AUTHORITY WILL NOT CONSIDER ALTERNATE MANUFACTURER PARTS IN LIEU OF THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER PARTS.
Bidders are hereby CAUTIONED to make use of the New York Power Authority's website at www.nypa.gov in order to obtain current and complete bid documents, bid addenda, post-bid addenda and related notices through Ariba.
Bidders obtaining bid documents from sources other than www.nypa.gov or Ariba website do so at their own risk.
Incomplete bid responses may be rejected by the Authority.
The contractor shall collect and analyze environmental samples for the New York Power Authority's SENY Region under SPDES permits, NYSDEC MOSF registration annual monitoring wells, NYCDEP self-monitoring industrial wastewater, and additional waste characterization. Sampling sites include the Eugene W. Zeltmann Power Project (Astoria, NY), Richard M. Flynn Power Plant (Holtsville, NY), Brentwood Power Plant (Brentwood, NY), and six SNGPPs (Gowanus, Harlem River, Hell Gate, Kent, Pouch, Vernon Boulevard) in New York City. The contractor must provide a field scientist, follow NYSDEC and ASTM standards, maintain OSHA 10-hour and HAZWOPER 40-hour certifications, and use a NY-ELAP certified laboratory. The contract includes SPDES sampling at Flynn (monthly and quarterly) and Zeltmann (weekly and monthly), MOSF annual monitoring well sampling at Zeltmann, biannual NYCDEP self-monitoring at SNGPPs, and additional waste characterization on a time and material basis. The contractor must collect split (duplicate) samples, perform data validation before external submission, and comply with a Vendor Oversight Addendum.
