• Conduct field data collection in the southern 47% of the Grantham Quadrangle sufficient to
allow correct, interpreted delineation of surficial geologic map units in the area, in electronic point and line format.
• Collect data on the characteristics, texture, grain size, thickness and lateral extent of surficial
deposits; document contacts between surficial map units; and characterize geomorphic features, depositional environments, and evidence of active or past surficial processes at exposures that may be practicably accessed.
• Obtain and record the location and attributes of surficial geologic observations, including
exposures, sedimentary structures, geomorphic features, field site visit locations, and other field data to support map unit delineation and interpretation, and provide these data to NHGS as they are collected.
• With the exception of exposures that are too small spatially to be represented as a polygon on a
1:24,000-scale map product, mapped bedrock exposures shall be delineated as polygons rather than points. Larger and clearly defined bedrock exposures should be mapped as polygons, while small, isolated, or limited extent exposures may be recorded as points when polygon delineation is impractical.
• Collect high-quality photographs of major geologic features, which shall be provided to NHGS as
raw digital image files, separate from inclusion in a Word or PDF document.
• Permission will need to be obtained from landowners before entering private property, which
may be obtained in writing or verbally by speaking with landowners prior to property access; NHGS will provide documentation in the form of a letter from the state geologist explaining the purpose of the mapping and reason for access to private property.

The contractor will conduct field data collection in the southern 47% of the Grantham Quadrangle to delineate surficial geologic map units in electronic point and line format. They will collect data on characteristics, texture, grain size, thickness, and lateral extent of surficial deposits; document contacts between map units; characterize geomorphic features and depositional environments; and obtain and record location and attributes of surficial geologic observations. Bedrock exposures shall be delineated as polygons where possible. The contractor will collect high-quality photographs of major geologic features, obtain landowner permission for private property access, be available for a one-day field conference, and participate in a Microsoft Teams-based map review. They will produce a 1:24,000-scale geologic map in PDF format using the USGS Geologic Map Schema (GeMS) format, incorporating specified elements including a Description of Map Units, and a companion document of 550 to 5,500 words.

Most New Hampshire work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. One prequalification covers both — on this bid and the next.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
