The Contractor will provide specialized clinical and operational support to the Mississippi Maternal System of Care. Core responsibilities include participation as a designated member of Maternal Center Inspection Teams, contributing nursing expertise during on-site evaluations of maternal care facilities, and assisting with the review of compliance elements related to maternal designation standards. The consultant will also advise on maternal system development issues, offer guidance on integration of maternal care requirements within statewide maternal protocols, and support the development, refinement, and implementation of the Maternal Care Plan. Deliverables include maternal center inspection participation, maternal care plan and policy development support, maternal chart review and clinical assessment, and reporting and documentation.
