The Department’s mission is to cultivate a person-centered, coordinated continuum of care for justice-involved individuals (JII) and their communities. Our focus is prevention, diversion, and reentry to achieve community safety, wellbeing, and equitable justice.
In 2021, the Incubation Academy launched with the goal of equitably increasing access to funding and building the capacity of organizations that may experience barriers to access for traditional County funding. The JCOD Incubation Academy aims to deliver community training, executive coaching, capacity building, and technical?assistance?to community-based organizations (CBO). This support is especially targeted toward CBOs that serve justice-involved and system-impacted individuals and have a history of community-based work that has faced challenges securing government contracts and funding.
In particular, the JCOD Incubation Academy?aims to grow the infrastructure of small nonprofits providing services to JIIs while prioritizing both a care-first and racial equity approach.? Through this Work Order Solicitation (WOS), JCOD seeks to contract for JCOD Incubation Academy Executive Coaching and Nonprofit Leadership Development Intensive Program Services.
The contractor must deliver a structured nine-month Executive Coaching Program and two Nonprofit Leadership Development Intensive Program four-part workshop series. Services include developing an Implementation Plan, conducting assessments and risk diagnostics, delivering standardized in-person trainings, providing program templates and tools, recruiting and managing executive coaches, facilitating workshops, and monitoring participant progress. The contractor must also ensure each CBO is assigned an executive coach for a minimum of five hours per month over nine months, and must provide all program logistics including location, food, and materials.
