The project consists of phased replacement of air handlers and condensing equipment throughout cottages 101, 102, 104, 105, 109, 110, 114, 115, 116 and 118 at the Oakwood Facility, including removal of existing air handlers, duct modifications to accommodate multiple air handlers and electric duct heaters in cottage mechanical rooms, removal of hydronic boilers and indirect domestic hot water storage tanks, provision of gas-fired domestic water heaters to replace indirect storage tanks, and provision and replacement of electrical panels and disconnects to accommodate HVAC and plumbing modifications, performed one unoccupied cottage at a time.
