The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is seeking competitive bid proposals from qualified concessionaires to operate and maintain the marina concession at Glen Elder State Park on Waconda Reservoir. The Successful Bidder will provide marina facilities, goods, and recreation services to the public and will pay the State compensation for the concession privilege.
The successful bidder will operate and maintain the marina concession, providing marina store sales, supplies, goods, food, fishing equipment and bait, recreational equipment rentals, fuel service, alcoholic beverages (cereal malt beverages only, carry out), and boat slip rental and storage services. The concessionaire must operate the concession at a minimum every day during daylight hours from April 15 through October 15, and at their option from October 16 through April 14. They must provide all equipment and facilities at their own expense, keep the concession area clean and safe, pay all utility charges, prepare annual operation and maintenance plans and rate schedules, and comply with all applicable laws and insurance requirements.
