RE: (1) New Water Truck
COLQUITT COUNTY is accepting sealed bids on one (1) New Water Truck per specifications
for use by the Road and Bridge Department.
The bid packet is available on Colquitt County’s website. Please visit
www.colquittcountyga.gov/departments/purchasing and refer to the Bid and RFP list to
download this packet.
Sealed bids will be accepted in the office of the County Purchasing Department, located in the
Colquitt County Court House Annex, 101 East Central Avenue, Suite 206, Moultrie, Georgia
31768, (Post Office Box 517 Moultrie, Georgia 31776-0517,) until Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at
10:10 a.m. at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids must be in a sealed
envelope plainly marked in the lower left hand corner “BID FOR WATER TRUCK.” It is the
bidder’s responsibility to have all bids turned in by the called time. No bids will be accepted after
the called time. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the called time.
The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any
and all formalities.

The bidder must supply one new and unused, standard production model water truck with a 2,000 gallon water tank, including rear spray, front spray, and driver side spray nozzles, hydraulic system, LED safety beacon lights, and various other specified components. The chassis must meet minimum 33,000 GVWR, diesel engine minimum 300 HP, Allison 3000rds-p 6 speed transmission, and numerous cab and body specifications. The vendor must provide a qualified instructor for up to 4 hours of training at the county shop, and deliver complete hard and digital copies of manuals and a first service kit at no additional cost. Delivery is to 2020 County Farm Rd. Moultrie, GA 31768.
