INVITATION TO BID
PART 1. GENERAL
1.1 SEALED BIDS
Sealed bids for construction of the Curtis Parkway Road Widening - Water Main and
Sewer Relocation will be received until Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 10:00 am, inside
the Utilities Training Room at the Calhoun Utilities Building, 700 West Line St.,
Calhoun, GA 30701, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. Any
proposal received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may
be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days.
1.2 SCOPE OF WORK
Under this project, the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and a few material
items necessary to lay 4,500 L.F. 12” DIP, 900 L.F. 8” DIP, and 200 L.F. 6” DIP with
hydrant, valves, service transfers, soil stabilization, driveway reconstruction, erosion control
measures, and all other miscellaneous appurtenances necessary for a complete installation.
Most of the materials have already been obtained by the City and stored at 705 West Line
Street. Contractor will need to haul supplies about 2.5 miles to job site. Time allotted for
completion of work is 120 consecutive calendar days.
All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Work will
be awarded in one (1) Contract.
