GENERAL
Lumpkin County, Georgia is soliciting statements of qualifications from qualified
Architectural/Engineering (A/E) firms to provide comprehensive professional services for the design and
construction administration of a new fire station.
Lumpkin County, Georgia proposes to retain a highly qualified architectural/engineering firm to plan and
design the project. The successful firm shall be familiar with local design themes and development
processes.
Services shall include, but are not limited to site evaluation, schematic design, design development,
construction documents, independent cost estimating, bidding, construction administration, code
compliance, and project closeout.

The proposed project will be constructed on a 2.02 -acre site located on Ben Higgins Road
Project Details:
• Approximate building size: 4800 square feet
• Approximate size is 60’ x 80’
• Three 20’ x 60’ drive-thru apparatus bays (double-depth capable)
• Day room/ office area 20’ x 60’
• 20’ x 60’ upstairs living area
• The site for the project has a lower elevation. Consideration needs to be given to building a lower
level as a shell versus filling in the site and providing a slab foundation.
The design should reflect cost-efficiency and compatibility with existing Fire Station 7.
