The project will provide targeted, high-value renewal of building systems and selected interior upgrades for the William S. Smith Library. The proposed scope may include improvements to the building envelope, waste plumbing, restroom plumbing and fixtures, electrical and lighting systems, specialized HVAC serving archival storage areas, remediation of abandoned infrastructure, and enhancements needed for accessibility and code compliance. Interior upgrade opportunities may include new or refreshed finishes, furniture, library shelving, and targeted reconfiguration to improve space function and user experience. The design professional will provide complete schematic, design development, and construction documents, and will be responsible for services including program validation, existing conditions analyses, measured drawings, conceptual design, schematic design, design development documents, construction documents, construction administration, interior design, furniture/fixture/equipment layout, material finish boards, signage, MEP/FP and communication systems design, structural design, detailed third-party cost estimates, code review and compliance, commissioning support, and environmental assessments.
