NOTICE TO PROPOSERS
The Camden County Board of Commissioners is seeking proposals to furnish all labor, equipment,
and materials for conducting road resurfacing on existing paved roads on the Naval Base Kingsbay.
SUBMISSION: One (1) original and three (3) copies of required proposal document must be submitted in
a sealed envelope marked “ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT Naval Base Kingsbay- Proposal #P27-
4200-08”, mailed or dropped off at the address below.

The proposal opening will be conducted in person on October 15th, 2026, at 2:15PM, in the historic court
room, located at 200 East 4th Street, Woodbine, GA 31569. Proposal prices will not be read.
Proposals will be accepted at the above address until the time and date specified above, and immediately after
will be publicly opened and contractor names only will be read aloud.
Proposals received after the required time or in any other location other than the Purchasing Office will not be
accepted. Camden County will not be held liable for misdirected deliveries nor deliveries that are late due to
shipping carrier. Faxed submissions will not be accepted.
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals for full width milling and repaving 1.5” (165 #/sy) of 12.5 mm superpave asphalt, thermoplastic striping, loop detectors, and replacing pavement markers on specified roads (approximately 1.48 centerline miles). All deceleration lanes are included. Temporary paint markings will be required after resurfacing as indicated in section 653 of GDOT specifications to include stop bars, cross walks, railroad crossings, edge lines, lane lines and center lines. Milling shall be variable depth (1.5” typical) and millings shall be hauled and dumped by the contractor to a location no more than ten (10) miles away. The contractor shall install loop detectors from the loop to the control cabinet/boxes and provide a 48-hour notice prior to commencing loop work. Road shoulders will be clipped prior to the asphalt overlay by Camden County Department of Public Works. Background checks will be required for any person accessing the base.
