The Cherokee County Board of Commissioners Purchasing Department (County) is requesting competitive sealed bids for the federally funded State Route 140 at CR309 Univeter Road Intersection Improvement Project 0017804 - Cherokee County, in accordance with applicable Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) Standards and Specifications and as further described herein.
The Work consists of construction of the State Route 140 at CR 309/Univeter Road Intersection Improvement Project, GDOT P.I. No. 0017804, in accordance with the plans, specifications, and Contract Documents. The Contractor shall complete all Work within 730 calendar days following the Notice to Proceed. The scope includes roadway work (grading, undercut excavation, aggregate surface course, recycled asphalt concrete patching, concrete sidewalk, median, valley gutter, header curb, curb and gutter, wheelchair ramps), pavement work (aggregate base course, recycled asphalt concrete leveling and superpave, tack coat, milling, driveway concrete, pavement reinforcing fabric strips, rumble strips), drainage work (side drain pipe, safety end sections, flared end sections, storm drain pipe, video inspection, catch basins, drop inlets, storm sewer manholes), temporary drainage, temporary erosion control (temporary grassing, construction exits, silt control gates, sediment barriers, inlet sediment traps, silt fence, check dams), permanent erosion control (mulch, rip rap, filter fabric, permanent grassing, sod, turf reinforcing matting, erosion control mats), signing (highway signs, galvanized steel posts), pavement marking (thermoplastic pavement marking, raised pavement markers, hot applied preformed plastic pavement marking), and signals (traffic signal installation, signal assembly, conduit, directional bore).
