The City of Cartersville, Georgia will be receiving separate sealed Bids for all material, labor and
equipment for the “Mechanicsville & Jones Mill Road Water Main Replacement”. This includes
approximately Phase I: 4,346 LF of 8" and 70 LF of 6” PC 350 DIP Water Main Replacement &
818 LF of 2” SDR9 Water Service and Phase II: 6,785 LF of 8" PC 350 DIP Water Main
Replacement & 1,069 LF of 2” SDR9 Water Service with all related accessories as shown on the
plans and called for in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications. Bids shall be based on
Unit Price Items.
Phase I shall be Substantially Complete within 180 calendar days, and Final Completion within 210
calendar days from the date of notice to proceed of the contract. Phase II shall be Substantially
Complete within 180 calendar days, and Final Completion within 210 calendar days from Phase I
Substantially Complete date. Contractor will not be allowed to start Phase II until Phase I is
Substantially Complete.
The City of Cartersville will receive bids until 3:00 PM on November 12, 2026 at 301 Douthit
Ferry Road, Cartersville, GA 30120. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will
be opened and publicly read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend.
Provide all material, labor and equipment for Phase I including approximately 4,346 LF of 8-inch and 70 LF of 6-inch PC 350 DIP water main replacement and 818 LF of 2-inch SDR9 water service, and Phase II including approximately 6,785 LF of 8-inch PC 350 DIP water main replacement and 1,069 LF of 2-inch SDR9 water service, with all related accessories as shown on the plans and called for in the contract documents and technical specifications, with Phase I substantially complete within 180 days and final completion within 210 days from notice to proceed and Phase II substantially complete within 180 days and final completion within 210 days from Phase I substantial completion.
