ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids will be received for the 2025 CDBG, Water System Improvements: CDBG No.
25P-X-129-2-6785, at Desoto City Hall, 134 Luke Street, Desoto, Georgia 31743 until October
13, 2026__at 11 a.m., at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following:
The construction of approximately ± 6,179 LF of 8” C900 Class 150 PVC water main, ±8 8”
mechanical joint ductile iron gate valves, ± 9, 3-way fire hydrant assemblies, ±1 connection to existing
water main, ± 25 SY concrete removal and replacement, ±168 SY of Class A pavement removal and
replacement, erosion control, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job.
All work on the Project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of date of
notice to proceed.
Bid shall be submitted on Bid Proposal Forms furnished for that purpose, in accordance with
the Contract Documents and the Plans and Specifications which are on file and may be reviewed by
appointment only at the office of Hofstadter and Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers, 4571
Arkwright Road, Macon, Georgia 31210.
Copies of Bid Forms, Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from

upon deposit of $ 200.00 per set. No refund will be made for returned documents.
