VEHICLE TIRES & SERVICE

The purpose of this specification is to purchase Vehicle Tires and Tire Services for the City of Longview Fleet Services Division. Service includes tire changes, tire balancing, tire disposal, flat repair, alignment, and repair/retread. The contract resulting from this process will be an annual requirements style (as needed) contract. The City of Longview offers no warranty of volume of products to be purchased and has listed the amount of products as an estimate only.

Special InstructionsIf the bid is being hand delivered, please schedule an appointment for delivery by emailing purchasing@longviewtexas.gov. The bid must be submitted before the published deadline within the bid document.

All Tires must be branded Goodyear, Michelin, BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Firestone, Continental, and General, Toyo, or approved equivalent prior to bidding. The approved equivalent must be approved by the Fleet Department no later than 10/29/2026 by 5:00 P.M. Please email purchasing@longviewtexas.gov to send in documentation for proposed brand equivalents. No private labels produced by these manufacturers will be accepted. All tires must meet or exceed manufacturer recommended specifications per vehicle. Submittals received in the City Purchasing Office after the submission deadline will be considered void and unacceptable. The City of Longview is not responsible for lateness or non-delivery of mail, carrier, etc., and the date/time stamp in the Purchasing Office will be the official time of receipt.
