The lessee will farm the leased land according to a detailed cropping plan (Attachment B) that specifies crop rotations for each field from 2027 through 2032, including corn, soybeans, wheat, sunflowers, and cover crops. The lessee must provide all necessary labor, machinery, tools, seed, fertilizer, equipment, and insurance. Specific requirements include: no use of neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed or Dicamba; adherence to atrazine buffer restrictions; planting cover crops on designated fields; maintaining 33-foot field borders and 66-foot wildlife corridors; establishing firebreaks; maintaining equipment clearance for field access roads; and documenting all chemical, fertilizer, and seed applications. The lessee must also perform soil testing in the fall of the second and fourth lease years, and provide yield monitor data. Additional services such as mowing, clearing, and culvert installation may be performed in lieu of cash payments with prior approval.
