The lessee will operate a farm lease on approximately 658 acres at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish & Wildlife Area, following a specified cropping plan for corn, soybeans, wheat, and cover crops from 2027 to 2031. The lessee must provide all labor, machinery, tools, seed, fertilizer, equipment, and insurance, and must comply with IDNR conservation practices including prohibitions on neonicotinoid-treated soybean seed and Dicamba, soil testing requirements, and cover crop planting on designated fields. The lessee is responsible for leasehold taxes, must submit annual lease payments, and must document chemical, fertilizer, and seed applications.
