Mi-Seney Nwr-Hazardous Fuels Reduction Vegetation

The contractor must perform hazardous fuels reduction vegetation removal and herbicide application on ~146 acres at Seney National Wildlife Refuge. The work includes six tasks: North/South Show Pools (17 acres), Lower Goose Pen (9 acres), Marshland Wildlife Drive (30 acres), Wild Parsnip (10 acres), Undetermined clearing (50 acres), and Undetermined herbicide (30 acres). Methods include hand tool clearing, small equipment removal, and backpack herbicide treatment. Cut vegetation may be chipped or mulched onsite or removed; all waste must be disposed of off-site. Herbicide selection must be approved by the government and applied by licensed applicators. A site visit is highly encouraged.
