Washington requires every commercial fundraiser to file a $25,000 bond with the Secretary of State Charities Program before soliciting, under RCW 19.09.191 and the rule the Secretary of State sets. Ours is $375 flat — the price you see is the checkout price, identical for every fundraiser. A quick soft credit check may apply, e-signed in 1–2 business days.

Your fundraiser registration is waiting on this bond. Here's the entire process — no broker phone tag:
Business details, owner information, effective date. That is the application — the only extra step is a one-time consent to a soft credit pull.
Most of these clear quickly; if underwriting needs anything, you hear from an underwriter within 48 hours. The credit check is a soft pull that never affects your score.
Pay online and receive the executed bond, filed with the Secretary of State, ready to file with your commercial fundraiser registration. Wet-ink originals mailed whenever the state insists.
Washington regulates commercial fundraisers under the Charitable Solicitations Act (chapter 19.09 RCW), administered by the Secretary of State Charities Program. A commercial fundraiser — a paid solicitor who raises charitable contributions for organizations — must register and post a bond before fundraising.
Under RCW 19.09.191 the bond is executed in the amount the Secretary of State prescribes by rule — $25,000 under WAC 434-120-260 — and is filed with the Secretary. It runs to the state and to any person who may have a cause of action against you for malfeasance, misfeasance, or deceptive practice in the conduct of solicitations.
It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. The bond is a registration condition: no active bond, no commercial fundraiser registration, no soliciting in Washington.
These are the actual underwriting fields, including a one-time consent to a soft credit pull. Submit once and your bond is typically issued within 1–2 business days.
