A Utah resort liquor license requires a $25,000 bond filed with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services. Ours is $750 flat — 3% of the bond amount, identical for every licensee. One soft credit pull, e-signed in 1–2 business days.

Your DABS license packet is waiting on this bond. Here's the entire process — no broker phone tag:
Business details, owner information, effective date. That is the application — the only extra step is a one-time consent to a soft credit pull.
Most of these clear quickly; if underwriting needs anything, you hear from an underwriter within 48 hours. The credit check is a soft pull that never affects your score.
Pay online and receive the executed bond ready to file with your resort liquor license application. Wet-ink originals mailed whenever the state insists.
$25,000 bond × 3% = $750, one-time per term. Fixed amount, fixed price, multi-year if you want it.
Utah's Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services (DABS) licenses retail alcohol operations under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act (Title 32B), and conditions a resort liquor license on a surety bond. The bond is a compliance-and-tax guarantee: it stands behind your faithful compliance with Title 32B and the rules and directives of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier standing behind you, and the State of Utah (the obligee). If a licensee violates the alcohol-control laws or fails to pay amounts owed, the state can recover against the bond up to the surety's limit.
It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. The bond is one line item on a larger DABS packet that also includes application and license fees set by the state.
These are the actual underwriting fields, including a one-time consent to a soft credit pull. Submit once and your bond is typically issued within 1–2 business days.
