The City of Fort Worth requires a $25,000 bond of contractors who install, repair, or maintain its streets and storm drains — sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, culverts, storm sewers, and drainage structures. The bond guarantees the work is completed and kept in good condition.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of Fort Worth (the obligee). You are obligated to perform according to Fort Worth ordinances for the life of the bond and to maintain the work for two years after completion — defective materials or poor workmanship must be repaired or replaced in that window.
