OK supervised lender branch bonds.
$100 flat.

The per-branch piece of the Oklahoma supervised lender bond. Under 14A O.S. § 3-503(3), a licensed supervised lender posts $5,000 for its main office and an additional $1,000 for each branch location — this is that $1,000 filing, made with the Department of Consumer Credit. Ours is $100 flat, the price you see is the checkout price, and the bond issues the moment you pay. Any credit screen is a soft pull only — it never affects your score.

About this bond

What it is and who needs it.

What the branch bond covers

Oklahoma licenses supervised lenders under 14A O.S. § 3-503 of the Uniform Consumer Credit Code, administered by the Department of Consumer Credit. The bond requirement scales with your footprint: $5,000 for the licensed main office, plus $1,000 for each additional branch location. This page is the $1,000 branch piece.

The branch bond runs to the same obligee as the main-office bond — the State of Oklahoma — and protects the same people: borrowers harmed by a violation of the Consumer Credit Code at that location. If you license three branches, the statute wants $1,000 of security behind each one.

It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. Supervised lender licenses run one year from January 1, so every branch bond has to stay continuously on file; we track the term and send renewal notices 60 and 30 days out.

14A O.S. § 3-503(3) (Uniform Consumer Credit Code)Section 3-503 of the Oklahoma Uniform Consumer Credit Code governs the supervised lender license issued by the Administrator of the Department of Consumer Credit, and subsection (3) sets the bond at $5,000 for the licensed office plus $1,000 for each additional branch location. Confirm on your Department licensing packet whether your branches are covered by separate $1,000 bonds or by a single built-up amount before you buy.

You need this bond if you're

A licensed Oklahoma supervised lender adding a branch location to your license
Opening additional consumer lending offices under an existing supervised lender license
Renewing branch filings whose current $1,000 bonds are expiring or non-renewing
Reinstating a branch that came off the license when its bond lapsed

FAQ

Common questions.

How much is the Oklahoma supervised lender branch bond? The premium is $100 flat — set by our carrier's rate book for this bond, the same for every branch. The $1,000 bond amount is set by 14A O.S. § 3-503(3), so there is no quote process, and the price you see is the checkout price.
Do I need one bond per branch?Yes — the statute adds $1,000 of security for each additional branch location. If your licensing packet lists three branches, that is three $1,000 bonds at $100 flat each.
Do I still need the main supervised lender bond?Yes. The branch bond is an add-on. The licensed main office carries its own $5,000 bond under the same subsection — buy that one on our supervised lender page.
Is there a credit check? If a credit screen runs on this bond, it is a soft pull only — never a hard inquiry, and it never affects your score. The price stays $100 flat either way.
Where do I file it?With the Administrator of the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit, alongside the branch location listing on your supervised lender license.
