North Dakota requires a commercial driver-training school to file a $5,000 surety bond with its license application under N.D.C.C. 39-25-03. The bond protects students' prepaid tuition. At the statutory $5,000 amount, a flat 3% lands at our $275 minimum — issued with no credit check.

No credit check and no waiting — the executed bond is generated as soon as you pay.
Submit the executed bond with your commercial driver-training school license application or renewal. Wet-ink originals mailed on request.

North Dakota regulates commercial driver-training schools under N.D.C.C. ch. 39-25, administered through NDDOT. A school owner or operator must secure and submit a continuous surety bond with the license application for the protection of the contractual rights of students.
The implementing rule, N.D.A.C. 37-13-02-08, sets the bond at $5,000 for motor vehicle driver's-license instruction, issued by a company authorized to do business in North Dakota. The surety may cancel the bond on thirty days' written notice to the director.
If a school takes a student's tuition and fails to deliver the instruction, the student can recover against the bond — and if the surety pays, the school repays the surety. It is not insurance for the school. Enter the statutory $5,000 (or a higher figure if you've been asked for one) and we issue it at a flat 3% with no credit check.
Submit the application with the statutory $5,000 amount — the executed bond is generated instantly, ready to file with your school license application.
