Nevada will not issue an automobile-wrecker license until the wrecker files a $50,000 bond with the DMV under NRS 487.060. Ours is $1,500 flat — 3% of the bond amount, identical for every wrecker. One soft credit pull, e-signed in 1–2 business days.

Your wrecker license is waiting on this bond. Here's the whole thing — no broker phone tag:
Business details, owner information, effective date. The only extra step is a one-time consent to a soft credit pull.
Most of these clear quickly; if underwriting needs anything, you hear from an underwriter within 48 hours. The credit check is a soft pull that never affects your score.
Pay online and receive the executed bond (form OBL269), ready to file with your wrecker license application. Wet-ink originals mailed whenever the Department insists.
$50,000 bond × 3% = $1,500, one-time per term. Fixed amount, fixed price, multi-year if you want it.
Nevada licenses automobile wreckers through the DMV under NRS Chapter 487. NRS 487.060 provides that no wrecker license issues until the applicant files a $50,000 corporate surety bond, approved as to form by the Attorney General, conditioned on conducting business without fraud or fraudulent representation and without violating the wrecker provisions of the chapter.
The bond is a consumer-and-public-protection guarantee: any person injured by the wrecker’s violation of those provisions may apply to the Director for compensation from the bond. It’s a three-party arrangement — you (the principal), the surety, and the State of Nevada with harmed parties as beneficiaries.
A wrecker licensed for five years or more in good standing may, by agreement with the Department, qualify for a reduced bond — but never below $5,000. Until then the amount is $50,000. We issue it at a flat 3% with one soft credit pull; if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety.
These are the actual underwriting fields, including a one-time consent to a soft credit pull. Submit once and your bond is typically issued within 1–2 business days.
