To promote boxing, sparring, or wrestling events in Mississippi, the Mississippi Athletic Commission requires a promoter to file a $5,000 bond. Ours is $275 flat — the minimum premium — and the application is five minutes with no credit check.

License bonds like this are about the simplest thing in surety. Here's the entire process:
Business details and an effective date. That's the application — no financials, no credit check section.
Small fixed license bonds like this are among the bond types that issue right after purchase. At most, 1–2 business days.
Your executed bond and power of attorney arrive by email, ready to file with your promoter license application to the Mississippi Athletic Commission. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
$5,000 bond, $275 flat (the minimum premium, since 3% of $5,000 is below it), one-time per term. Multi-year if you want it.
Mississippi regulates professional and amateur combative sports — boxing, sparring, wrestling, and similar events — through the Mississippi Athletic Commission under the Amusements, Exhibitions and Athletic Events law (Mississippi Code chapter 75-75). A promoter who stages these events under the Commission's supervision must post a surety bond.
The bond is a compliance and accountability guarantee. It backs the promoter's obligations to the Commission and the participants — paying the fees and taxes owed on gate receipts, handling event funds properly, and following the rules governing the event. If a promoter fails to pay fees, mishandles gate receipts, or violates the terms of the license, a claim can be filed against the bond.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the State of Mississippi through the Athletic Commission (the obligee). It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. Promoters who run clean events treat the bond as a license formality.
These are the actual issuing fields — no credit check section, because this bond doesn't have one.
