GA Anytime Fitness health club bonds.
$250 flat.

Anytime Fitness franchisees in Georgia post a $25,000 surety bond under the terms of the Anytime Fitness Franchise Agreement, to protect members who pay in advance for memberships or personal training — Georgia's own Fair Business Practices Act does not itself require a health club to post a bond. Ours is $250 flat — the price you see is the checkout price. The application includes a credit consent, but it authorizes only a soft pull that never affects your score.

About this bond

What it is and who needs it.

What the bond actually guarantees

Anytime Fitness LLC, the franchisor, requires each Georgia franchisee to carry a $25,000 surety bond for the term of the Franchise Agreement. Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.2) regulates health-spa membership contracts and disclosures, but the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division confirms that health spas are not required to post a bond under state law — the protection here comes from the franchise agreement, not a statute.

It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal, the franchisee), the surety carrier, and Anytime Fitness LLC (the obligee), with members who prepaid for memberships or personal training as the protected parties. If a location closes or fails to honor prepaid membership terms, a harmed member's recourse runs through the bond and the franchisor's claims process.

It is not insurance for you — if the surety pays a claim, you repay the surety. The bond has to stay active for the life of your Franchise Agreement, so we track it and send renewal notices 60 and 30 days out. Confirm the exact bonding clause in your own Franchise Agreement and Item 6 of the Franchise Disclosure Document — terms can vary by franchise vintage.

Anytime Fitness LLC — Franchise AgreementThis bond is not required by a Georgia statute. Georgia's Fair Business Practices Act (O.C.G.A. § 10-1-393.2) regulates health-spa membership contracts, and the statute's own required consumer notice states that health spas do not post a bond — pre-sale membership funds instead go into an Attorney-General-monitored escrow account. This $25,000 bond is a private requirement of the Anytime Fitness Franchise Agreement, protecting members who prepay for memberships or personal training at a Georgia location. Confirm the current bonding clause in your own Franchise Agreement.
