The City of Cape Coral requires a $1,000 solicitor permit bond before a solicitor or peddler can work the city — filed through the City Clerk with your permit. Ours is $100 flat. The bond issues the moment you pay — no credit review of any kind, not even a soft pull.

Municipal permit bonds are the simplest thing in surety. Here's the whole process:
Business details and an effective date. No financials, no credit section, no follow-up scavenger hunt.
Permit bonds like this are among the thousands of bond types that issue right after purchase.
Your executed bond arrives by email, ready to file with the Cape Coral City Clerk's solicitor permit application. Wet-ink original mailed on request.
A Cape Coral solicitor permit bond is a consumer-protection guarantee. Door-to-door solicitors and peddlers take orders and payments from residents, so the city wants a financial backstop that you'll deliver what customers order and make good on defects they find within 30 days after delivery.
It's a three-party arrangement: you (the principal), the surety carrier, and the City of Cape Coral, which requires the bond (the obligee). The bond is for the use and benefit of anyone who buys from you or gives you an order. If you do not deliver what was ordered, or a buyer finds a defect in material or workmanship within 30 days after delivery, that buyer can claim against the bond.
The bond must stay active for as long as your permit is valid. A permit runs for the period you apply for, never more than 12 months. We track the bond and notify you 60 and 30 days out so your $1,000 filing stays continuous through renewal.
These are the actual issuing fields — the application collects no credit information for this bond.
