REQUEST FOR QUOTE
INTRODUCTION
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is available for full and open competition.
DESCRIPTION
The US Geological Survey - Geology, Energy and Minerals Science Center in Reston, VA, requires Mineral Separation Services as described in the attached Statement of Work.
RELEVENT INFORMATION
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541380, Testing Laboratories, applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code B517, Special Studies/Analysis-Geological. This service is subject to the Service Contract Labor Standards Wage Determinations.
All questions must be sent directly to lynnmarie_applegate@ios.doi.gov by 09/15/2026 at 0800 PDT. Quotes shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to the Contracting Officer at lynnmarie_applegate@ios.doi.gov. All proposal documents required by this solicitation must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than 09/17/2026 at 0800 PDT. Proposals submitted by hardcopy or any web portal shall not be accepted or considered.
Offerors are to include a technical description of the services being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation as seen in the Evaluation Factors (see Attachment). This may include product literature, references, or other documents, if necessary.
