The selected Sculptor shall provide all artistic, technical, and coordination services necessary to complete the project from concept refinement through final installation. The Sculptor shall develop and refine the artistic concept through consultation and review of reference materials. A scaled maquette shall be produced for review and approval prior to enlargement and casting. Upon approval, the Sculptor shall complete full-scale portrait modeling and finalize pose, sculptural details, and composition consistent with the approved concept. The sculpture shall be cast in silicon bronze using professional foundry services. The scope includes enlargement, mold preparation, casting, hot patina application, and application of a protective coating suitable for marine exposure. A cast bronze informational plaque shall be designed, fabricated, and installed as part of the project. The Sculptor shall coordinate with a licensed structural engineer for foundation and pedestal design. Responsibilities include oversight of pedestal construction, granite cladding installation, installation of two LED spotlights, and supervision of final installation. Transportation from the foundry, inspection of final finish, and affixing of the sculpture to the pedestal are included within the scope.
