LCRA is seeking an owner's engineer for future design build projects.
The Professional will provide technical support and serve as Owner's Engineer for one or more EPC contracts covering detailed design, equipment procurement, construction, testing and commissioning, supporting Electrical, Structural/Civil, T-line, and Protection and Control disciplines. Projects may include major 138 kV-765 kV transmission improvements such as substation additions and upgrades, transmission line upgrades, new Gas Insulated Substations and GIS retrofits or expansions, plus Flexible AC Transmission System projects such as synchronous condensers, STATCOM, SVC, series and shunt compensation and associated balance-of-plant and interconnection facilities issued as task orders under a master services agreement for multiple concurrent projects. Services include project definition, design criteria and performance specifications, engineering studies, conceptual design and drawing review, design-build RFx support with proposal evaluation and RFI responses, execution monitoring, risk mitigation, QA/QC review, status reporting and document control, plus construction monitoring, factory acceptance test witnessing, field testing and commissioning support, punch-list resolution, Substantial Completion opinions, meeting representation, and change order and claims evaluation support.
