ROYAL OAK HIGH SCHOOL PRACTICE FIELD RENOVATIONS
The work includes re-establishing the field crown centered within the track, providing new topsoil to meet a 1.0% slope, installing new sod, and implementing a drainage system with 6' perforated draintile, new 2' diameter drainage structures, and flat drains. Alternate bids involve removing and replacing portions of existing topsoil with clean imported topsoil. The contractor must field-verify all grades and existing invert elevations prior to commencement of work, and is responsible for site restoration, including any sidewalk concrete replacement, obtaining City permits (permit costs taken from a $10,000 general allowance), and providing temporary fencing to maintain security. The contractor must also install track protection on the north side as detailed on the south side, and may access the site from the North off Normandy, including removing and reinstalling permanent fence.

Most Michigan work asks for the two below, and the solicitation documents are where it’s stated. Apply straight through for it — or prequalify once and skip the application on both.
A surety’s written statement that it expects to bond you up to a stated amount, subject to final underwriting. It’s what a GC or agency asks to see before they take your bid seriously.
