The services to be procured are the In-Process Fabrication Inspection of Precast and Prestressed Concrete in the United States and Canada. This Procurement is subject to participation goals for Minority-Owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) as required by Section 6-129 of the New York Administrative Code. The MWBE goal for this project is 30%. A Pre-Proposal Conference (Optional) has been scheduled for September 14,2026, Time: 10:00 AM through Zoom. The selected consultant will provide inspection services throughout the contract duration, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction services. The work involves off-site shop inspection and fabrication procedure review at precast and prestressed concrete fabrication facilities, including inspection of structural elements, drainage structures, concrete median barrier, and related items, as well as inspection of coating and/or galvanizing of steel reinforcing bars and wire fabric. The consultant must provide qualified personnel (Inspector Level 1, Inspector Level 2, and Chief Inspector) on an as-needed basis to perform in-process inspection services, witness tests, obtain samples, and send them to designated testing laboratories. Services will be performed in accordance with NYSDOT Standard Specifications, the New York State Prestressed Concrete Construction Manual, and other applicable directives.
