This Request for Proposals (RFP) is released through PASSPort, New York Citys online procurement portal.
Responses to this RFP must be submitted via PASSPort. To access the RFP, vendors should visit the PASSPort public Portal at https://a0333-passportpublic.nyc.gov/rfx.html go to the PASSPort page and click on PASSPort Public-agree to the Disclaimer-press submit-Browse Solicitations. Doing so will take one to the public portal of all procurements in the PASSPort system.

The selected consultant will provide inspection services throughout the contract duration, including pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phases. Services include off-site shop inspection and fabrication procedure review of precast and prestressed concrete members, coating and/or galvanizing of reinforcing steel, and other related fabrication processes associated with the construction and rehabilitation of New York City bridges. The consultant will provide Inspector Level 1, Inspector Level 2, and Chief Inspectors on an as-needed basis to perform in-process fabrication inspection, witness testing of materials, identify out-of-specification results, and recommend acceptance/rejection based on strict interpretation of specifications. The consultant must have a reasonable number of offices or branch locations throughout the United States and Canada, or inspectors with valid travel documents, to ensure timely response to assignments.
